The Austrian brewery

There is one more attractive excursion destination in Styria. At the location of the production site of the Murau brewery, a special beer experience world, the “Brewery of the Senses” was created. Visitors can perceive the world of Murauer beer with all their senses. The approximately two-hour experience tour gives an understanding of the brewery process – and does so in a lively way.

Experiences with all senses

Among other things, visitors can expect audiovisual as well as scent stops, plus an exhibition well, which demonstrates the importance of water and is singular in Austria. Finally, at the end of the tour, there is a beer tasting of Murauer specialties. One of the highlights of the “Brewery of the Senses” is the so-called exhibition brewery, a kind of miniature brewery, which can produce 10hl and is used for the creation of new types of beer like Pale Ale or Stout.

The seal of quality was awarded on 26 April 2017.

Tue – Sat: 2 pm – 6 pm.
Guided tours take place at 2 pm and 4 pm.
Opening hours of the Shop: 2 pm – 6 pm

The tour is only available in German.
