About HAGE Sondermaschinenbau
Discover the machine in you
Some entrepreneurs begin in the garage, Gerfried Hampel started out in a classroom – of the old primary school building in Obdach. Today, brothers DI Stefan Hampel and Ing. Mag. Florian Hampel are the second generation to manage this firm, which – with around 100 employees – exports individually produced high-tech machinery around the world. The motto and the principle here is “We can’t is not part of our vocabulary” – this is the starting point for the individual and very special machines HAGE develops and manufactures that meet and exceed customer wishes. Each machine is a special, custom-built project that meets specific requirements of clients around the globe. HAGE has specialized in saw systems, portal processing centres and production lines for processing aluminium and steel profiles and wood – their range even includes precision 3D printers.
To stimulate visitors’ curiosity, they are encouraged to “discover the machine in themselves”, as they look behind the scenes of the remarkable word of special purpose machines. First, experts show visitors what special purpose machines really are. Then, visitors are taken to the technical office where they can watch constructors and designers tackle tasks that most people would believe to be impossible. The production line makes it perfectly clear with what total and uncompromising precision HAGE must work. Finally all the machine parts that have been processed need to be put together like a giant puzzle. From this point on guests can see how life is breathed into the new machine with the help of state-of-the-art control technology. And then comes the grand finale of the tour – a Lego robot rally.
