Cargo City Graz

Over a million tons of goods pass through Cargo Center Graz every year. They are moved from rail to road, from road to rail, or put into the container depot for storage. The CCG site covers the entire Austrian, Central European and North European economic region with its logistic services connecting it also to Southern Europe. Further projects are planned and this constantly growing enterprise aism to be an important member within an extensive, efficient European infrastructure network. The Logistics City is the location for logistics enterprises, that make use of the more than 320,000 square metres of warehouses and offices, which employ about 1.800 people.

The big goods terminal

Our experience tourists enter the gates into one of the most modern and exciting goods handling centres in Central Europe. Here, two impressive gantry cranes with a lifting capacity of 46 tons, 4 craneable tracks and innumerable containers in every colour under the sun are an astonishing sight. Working busily, they give our visitors a very clear impression of what logistics processes are all about and how they hammer out the rhythm of our successful economy, especially in the work of the logistics service providers and our guests learn an enormous amount about this vital sector; for example the role of railways and combined load transport road/rail and transport systems together with the facts behind such essentials as international networking.

The seal of quality was awarded on 10 December 2010.
